Hairpin connectivity support

Hi team,
I would like to test hairpin scenario for vrf leaking and just want to understand what should be the connectivity for the same, I am trying to connect two interface of same node back to back, but failed.

Please suggest!

The term hairpinning comes from the fact that the traffic comes from one source into a router or similar devices, makes a U-turn and goes back the same way it came. Visualize this and you see something that looks like a hairpin.
