EVE-NG GUI won't start, stuck on login screen

Before posting something, READ the changelog, WATCH the videos, howto and provide following:
Your install is: Bare metal, ESXi, what CPU model, RAM, HD, what EVE version you have, output of the uname -a and any other info that might help us faster.

EVE-NG GUI won't start, stuck on login screen

Hi there,
I have a vm with EVE-NG 2.0.3-92. it was running fine, I had to shut it down using shutdown -h now.
now, I can SSH to the host, but the GUI is stuck on the login screen; I enter my credentials but it doesn't do anything!
I have a complex topology built there!1
Please advise

update your eve first

apt update
apt upgrade
last EVE Community is 2.3.0-112
