Hello everyone,
I would like to set up a lab and conduct Layer 2 experiments there. To do this, I need a switch image that supports port mirroring. It should be freely available, i.e., free of charge, and can also have a GUI. However, this is not important. Can anyone recommend an image? I haven't found anything yet. Since this is intended as a learning concept, it would also be good if it is not overly complicated and, ideally, if there is help and instructions available on the internet.
Thank you!

Any Cisco IOL L2/L3 switch supports it

In addition to looking for a switch image that supports port mirroring, does anyone have experience setting up a virtualized environment for Layer 2 experiments?clashbash wrote: ↑Thu Oct 30, 2025 1:33 pmHello everyone,
