Hello,

I am unable to start windows node. I followed the official video guide and made it to the point where I need to start the node. After starting the node nothing happens in lab and my VMware machine, where EVE is, stops responding but when I watched in Resource monitor VMware process shows activity. When i refresh the lab i get big error report and description is undefined. I have tried to install new EVE machine and the same problem occurred. Images for windows were windows 7 64 bit and windows 7 32 bit.


My pc specs are: intel i5 6600k, Gigabyte z170-d3h-cf motherboard, 16 GB of RAM and OS is Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. For EVE I use VMware workstation 15 Player (non-commercial use).

re watch eve setup video, your CPU seems is missing Intel VT-X/EPT turned ON !!!

When I performed setup of VM for EVE i folowed all instructions, in video it says its mandatory so i turned it on.

Is there any other reason why it wont work?

type in your eve cli:
kvm-ok

what it is showing you?
it must be:

root@eve-ng:~# kvm-ok
INFO: /dev/kvm exists
KVM acceleration can be used
root@eve-ng:~#


If you see CAN NOT be used, then problem is here. You have not enabled Intel VT-X/EPT on CPU

If your output is like my above, then your issue is, you simply did not follow exactly my how to provided in eve-ng web
