Good Afternoon all,
Been troubleshooting issues for a while and am at a loss. I'll give the backstory, but first a TLDR.
TLDR;
After updating to the HWE kernel (currently 5.4.0-81-generic) any node I attempt to start, with interfaces connected to anything else, fails with the error in the title. If I do not connect the node to anything else, it launches fine.
I did find the following logs:

Bare Metal Ubuntu/EVE-NG Install
Backstory:
I've been troubleshooting many issues since I built this rig. Following the directions for the bare metal install in the cookbook, I would frequently see system crashes which made it unusable. I have reinstalled the OS numerous times to no avail. Tho I still have not been able to capture what exactly was crashing, I did find threads on this forum with links to write-ups about how Ryzen and newer CPUs regularly experienced crashes and required a newer kernel. This lead me to try the HWE. Since then I have still seen crashes, although fewer in number, and now have this node startup issue. Have attempted another reinstall from scratch with the HWE with no change in experience. I would love to get to the bottom of the crashes also, but right now I'd be happy just getting nodes to boot.
Any help y'all can offer is truly appreciated.
