VMWare Pro NAT, VPCS no DHCP lease

Post by JohnyBits » Tue Dec 14, 2021 6:08 pm

Host system is Ubuntu 21, VM Ware Pro 16.

Have a NAT network setup on vmnet8 adapter and a /24 applied.

Eve-NG picks up an IP in this range. When I select Node>Network>Management Cloud and then node>vpc and connect it vpc will not obtain an IP address. If statically assign I cannot ping the indicated gateway that VMWare is showing me.

I'm new to VMWare and thought the config makes sense but maybe not.

Thanks,

I have the same exact issue. But if you change it into Bridge. You can ping and access the portal without problem.

My question is, how come NAT can't ping the NAT gateway?
