HTTP not working with EVE-NG Community Edition installed on VMWare ESXi

Hello,
I have installed the community version of eve-ng (iso) as a virtual machine on vSphere. I do not have a dhcp for the subnet so i manually configured the network settings. When the installation is finished, i couldn't access eve-ng via http://<ip-address>. I can ping it from my local machine which confirms the servers is on the network but getting 'connection refused' from all browsers.
VM setup:
ESXi 7.0.1
8 CPUs
16Gb memory
100Gb disk

Please assist. Thanks in advance!
