No console access ip address displayed

Post by phil6564 » Thu Dec 22, 2022 11:11 am

Hi all

I have installed EVE-NG community for the first time, by importing the OVF file into VMWare workstation. On the login screen, where it shows the management ip address for http access it said "Use http://fe80/" (This was having chosen the DHCP option during installation). I removed the configuration with the "rm -f /opt/ovf/.configured" command, rebooted, assigned a 192.168.x.x address and now it shows "Use http:///"

1. How do I get it to give me a valid ipv4 address?
2. I have about 20 VMWare network adapters on my computer, as a result of a GNS3 installation. I presume EVE-NG associates itself with one of these adapters, and therefore my ip address needs to be in the subnet for that adapter. Is that correct and, if so, how do I find out to which adapter it has attached itself?

Regards,
Phil.
