Juniper RE switch missing xe ports

Hi,

Anyone know why the xe ports are missing? when I do 'show interfaces terse' in operation mode, there's no xe ports. However I can configure xe ports in config mode, has anyone seen this?

It takes a time, vQFX full boot is 5-10 mins
