High RAM and CPU

Hello Team
how can I control the CPU and RAM on my laptop. My laptop specs are below. But whenever a run a lap of 2 Routers and switches, it maxes out my laptop.

RAM: 16G
CPU: i7-4712HQ @ 2.30GHz

mostly vSRX and vQFX switches. they tend to max my laptop

no wonder then, those images are very heavy...
