How to add console in the context menu

Post by xpertech » Sun Jul 01, 2018 9:16 am

Hello everybody,

Here is a newbie question:

After I add nodes to the lab, I don't see the option to open a console/telnet session to the node in the context menu (The menu which appears by right clicking on a node). Can someone help me in this?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply anyway but I found my answer by watching another video.

Posting here for those who might be in the similar situation.

Basically you have to select the node first by drawing a square around it with mouse. ONLY THEN the option "Console to selected node" will appear in the context menu. This is in contrast to how you do it in other similar programs like packet tracer or GNS3 where Console option is ALWAYS there when you right click on a node.

We removed that right click console from menu, because it is automatically calling out using left mouse click.
Issues can be with unsupported browsers like IE.
But Chrome and Firefox works perfect with it.
