ASAv loops at Starting image verification

Hi,

I have an image of ASAv-991 that works fine on two other eve-ng VMs. These VMs are on ESX6.5 and on fusion. I have built a new eve-ng on a new ESX6.5 host and cant get the ASAv-991 to work for no matter what I try. It loads to "Starting image verification" then just loops over and over.

I am using EVE-NG community edition loaded using the OVA. I have tried the following:
-Built multiple EVE-NG VMs on this new ESX, all show the same behaviour.
-Tried ASAv versions 941, 983, 991 and 992. All of these work on my other EVE-NG environments.
-Tried other images such as Nexus7k, VIOS and CSR and they work fine on this EVE-NG VM.

So it only seems to be ASAv that doesnt work. I know image I have built works fine as I can move it to another EVE-NG on another ESX host and works fine. All I can think it being is an incompatibility between the hardware ESX is run on and EVE-NG. However it seems strange that it only doesnt work for ASAv, I was expecting to have the same issue with nexus or CSRs.

The only thing I can think of next of is to create EVE-NG on a ubuntu VM using the ISO. I was hoping someone maybe have come across similar issues or could advise of any other troubleshooting I can do within EVE-NG to see why this happens?

what model of CPU you have on that PC where ASAv wont load?

Hi, It is AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 6174 in a ProLiant DL585 G7

Thats the problem mate
it does not support Intel EPT virtualization....

Thanks UD. Is strange how the other VIRL based images work but does tie in with the symptoms seen. Is much appreciated the information and fast response.
