I was trying to add the Nexus 9k image onto Eve-NG

I followed the steps from http://www.eve-ng.net/documentation/how ... x9k-switch until the NX9K first boot setup steps.

Particularly this step:

• Abort Auto Provisioning and continue with normal setup ?(yes/no)[n]: yes
  Do you want to enforce secure password standard (yes/no) no
  
  Enter passwords for admin:
  admin
  admin

I can Abort Auto Provisioning and continue with the normal setup by typing yes, however the 9k proceeds to ask me the second option about wanting to enforce password standard and then automatically and then automatically selects yes, which leads me to try and guess an eight character password.

Anyone know how to fix it so that I can tell it to not enforce the secure password standard?

no it does not make it auto.

When it ask aboort auto provisioning answer: yes and HIT enter once !!
then
wait some tiime and type NO and only then hit next enter...
force secured will be disabled.

I do exactly as the tutorial and you say.

However it still doesn't let me type no after typing yes.

because you are too rush hitting enter to much
I hit "no" right after profisioning confirm.

once provisioning asking yes/no
yes
enter
wait some 20 sec, do not wait any prompt
type no
enter
and this "no" will be for your ensecure force as answer no
if still no succes come in EVE live chat, use google account or create new for chat.

Here is a picture, I've only pressed enter once (To confirm the Abort Power On Auto Provisioning), later I've typed in No and yet it still didn't take it as an option.



I try and enter the password "Admin" but it refuses to take it.

Visit EVE live Helpdesk then, I will show how
Your "once" enter, seems is going to that enforce as accept Y.
I had no issues with it in any NX9K

Nevermind, I chose to use the skip option instead of no, I'll set up a password myself, Good news is I'm on the switch!!!
