QEMU running too slow while trying to install Windows

Hi,
I am trying to install Windows using QEMU as per the tutorial instructions, but this is running extremely slow.
Any advice on what could be causing it?
My hardware and configurations are as follows:
* Host: Windows 10 x64 Pro, Nv SSD, i7 12 cores, 48 GB Ram.
* VMware Workstation Pro 12.5.7
* Intel VT-x enabled.
* Antivirus and Firewalls are disabled.
Thank you,
