Lost the device startup config on my lab, please help!

Good morning help-desk,

I needed to reset the root password for my EVE-NG virtual machine, I used the steps below which accomplished the task but the problem is that I lost the device configuration on a massive lab that I have worked on for weeks. The lab topology still there intact but not the startup configuration of each of the devices. How can I recover the configuration files ? I want the lab back to the state it was before the root password reset.

Q: How to reset EVE management IP settings / DNS / NTP / Root password ?
A: from the EVE cli type:

rm -f /opt/ovf/.configured
su -

the password reset worked using EVE-NG documentation, that's not the problem. The problem is that after I reset the root password, it wiped the startup configuration from the devices in my lab.

you have to take care for your lab, and make export of configs to avoid such issue again..
currently your all configs are lost, because root pass and user was changed..
