Hello there.
I was trying to update eve-ng (2.0.3-70) with:
During the upgrade process I got the message:
Code: Select all
Configuration file '/etc/issue'
==> Modified (by you or by a script) since installation.
==> Package distributor has shipped an updated version.
What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
Z : start a shell to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.
*** issue (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ? Y
It seems the process competed successfully, but 'dpkg -l eve-ng' says that eve-ng is still 2.0.3.-70.

in this prompt you must hit N. (default)
and right steps for your update is:
apt autoremove
apt-get update
apt-get install eve-ng
apt-get dist-upgrade
reboot eve
