Linux: Failed to start node (12)

Post by gilgill » Tue Mar 20, 2018 8:40 pm

So, I am facing this problem always, when I try to load ANY image file, it gives me this error, the image is good, I work with this same EVE in another machine at work, but my computer at home does not run any machine at all, and I don't change no configurations, it just not work... in my VM I have an i5 7400, 4 cores, 12gb RAM, plenty of disk space... so please, if you have any solutions, I would appreciate it!! EVE version is 4.9.40.

if it is EVE PRO then you have to load EVE license in it.
your provided version is not right.
correct eve version you can check on web gui, top line tabs, System?System Status

Current API version: 2.0.4-20-PRO

Current EVE PRO version is 2.0.4-20
and must have license.

then it is image issue only or not fixed permissions

try:

Code: Select all

/opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions
what exactly is that image which wont start?

It's not the fixed permissions, it's a linux NST, but it does not matter, because in any image it will not load, but if I start the VM in the work computer, everything works perfectly, all images load with no problem, the same EVE file on a portable hard drive, just in my home PC does not load, and I cannot see what the issue is about, so I can fix it...
